Duro-Sense Corporation is a manufacturer of precision temperature sensors and allied components, as well as a provider of calibration services. A significant percentage of our customer base is designated “essential” by the state and federal government. These businesses provide necessary products and services to utilities (water, wastewater, oil, gas and electricity), as well as food supply, processing and agriculture, pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, transportation and defense.
Duro-Sense Corporation has been closely following the public health orders for Los Angeles county, where we physically operate, and remain committed to maintaining operations, so we many continue to supply parts and services necessary for the operation of our essential infrastructure and other essential business customers. In accordance with our social responsibility to maintain these operations, we have taken action to enforce the best practices and precautions advised by the county and state Departments of Public Health, the Office of the Governor, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, to protect the health and safety or our employees and customers, the public at large, and critical infrastructure during this crisis.
We have instituted social distancing measures, as outlined in the county and state orders, including room occupancy guidelines, which are being rigidly enforced in the office, laboratory and production floor. Those employees who are able to perform their essential work duties remotely are presently doing so. All employees older than 65 have been encouraged to self-isolate. Work stations and shared equipment are being thoroughly disinfected between use. All incoming and outgoing equipment is being sanitized in a manner that is safe for both the user and the equipment.
